Overview

Hue vs Hue curves are great until the client asks you to match last week's spot. Then you're eyeballing bezier handles.

Six Vectors gives you numbers.

R · Y · G · C · B · M, each with:

  • Hue ±30°
  • Sat 0–2×
  • Lum ±1 stop

Why it's clean

  • Smooth falloff with adjustable Vector Width (30–120°)
  • Overlaps blend, they don't stack
  • Neutrals are protected automatically, so your whites stay white
  • Hue rotates around the neutral axis, so luminance holds
  • Isolate any vector to see exactly what you're touching

Grade one shot. Copy the node. The numbers travel. Works on log (DWG / ACEScct) or Rec.709 nodes.

Olive greens. Teal skies. Deeper reds. Done before the client finishes their coffee.
